What tasks are involved with volunteering?
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Some of these can even be done remotely! How long can I volunteer for? 1 hour - full time. It's up to you! Do I need to pay to volunteer? No, your commitment and time with us is what matters most. Do I need travel insurance? PCU will do its best to keep out of harm's way but we highly recommend you arrange travel insurance before your arrival. Do I have to speak the local language? No, english is widely spoken here but we believe your trip will be much more rewarding if you make an effort to learn a few basic phrases of Bahasa Indonesia. This can be done once you arrive. What is the accomodation like? A basic room starts from as little as $7 per night! We can arrange for you to stay with one of the many cheap local homestays in the area. Some parts of the year (May-September) are busier than others. One month's notice prior to your arrival will help us greatly. Will there be time to travel and explore when volunteering with PCU? Of course! We understand that you want to experience the region's cultural diversity and explore the beautiful sights. The locals and travellers are friendly and easy going. Just ask around and they will be more than happy to show you around. Should I bring my own surfboard? There are plenty of affordable surfboards for sale in Bali but you can always bring your own favourite! What are the benefits of volunteering for PCU? Travel, life experience, résumé content, new friends and a truckload of good karma! How do I apply? Email with your skill set and resume. We'll arrange an appropriate role tailored to your strengths and interests. |
